Bax in Perspective
This research day includes a masterclass on Bax's second and third string quartets by the Maggini Quartet, whose recordings on Naxos of this repertoire have been universally acclaimed. Ian Partridge hosts a masterclass on Bax's songs, and lecture presentations by scholars of English music Lewis Foreman, Graham Parlett and Michael Allis will place Bax's music in a wider context.
